  • Vehicle Information: Make, model, plate number, odometer reading, WoF details, and a Vehicle Information Report (VIR) obtained before the purchase of a car
  • Vehicle Ownership Information: Salesman Limited collects and uses personal information in line with the Motor Vehicle Register’s authorised access conditions. This information is used exclusively for verifying vehicle ownership and ensuring compliance with our services as outlined in our authorisation agreement with Waka Kotahi. You may request information about this process or notify the Registrar if you do not wish to have your information disclosed by contacting Waka Kotahi directly.

 

How do we use your information?

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Contacting you regarding your vehicle, appointments, and sales
  • Sending you promotional materials, such as special offers and service updates
  • Improving our products and services based on your feedback and experiences
  • Offering to purchase your vehicle directly, based on your vehicle information

Cars we do not buy

We do not consider European cars older than ten years or with more than 100,000km, with the exception of a few models listed below: 

  • Mercedes-Benz: X-Class, G-Class. 

These are the only European models we will consider if they are older than ten years or have more than 100,000km. 

We do not consider full-electric or plug-in hybrid cars with more than 100,000km.

We do not consider American cars older than ten years or with more than 100,000km, with the exception of a few models listed below: 

  • Ford: Ranger, Everest, Mustang. 
  • Jeep: Wrangler, Grand Cherokee SRT8.  
  • Dodge: Challenger, Charger, Journey, Ram 
  • Holden: Colorado, Commodore, Captiva, Trailblazer, Equinox.

These are the only American models we will consider if they are older than ten years or have more than 100,000km. 

We do not consider any Kia or Hyundai cars fitted with a 2.4L petrol engine.

We do not consider Mazda cars older than 2018 fitted with a diesel engine. 

We do not consider Audi cars older than 2017 with a 2.0 petrol engine.
